ABOUT ME

I'm a native New Yorker working in theater, film, television, and improv.

 

After some wonderful years performing in theater, improv, and film, I took a break to be a stay-at-home dad. My wife and I have had the privilege of raising two wonderful kids. In 2016, I dived back into acting. It's been amazing! I'm grateful to have this second act as a performer.

Television

Law & Order: SVU - I played an Uber driver/suspect, arrested and interrogated by Ice-T and Peter Scanavino.

 

The Blacklist - I played a hardware store clerk opposite Anthony Michael Hall, selling him everything you might need to get rid of a body.

Film & New Media

I've had supporting roles in four independent features films, and lead or supporting roles in 30-plus short films and web series.

On screen, I'm often cast as a quintessential New Yorker. I've played cops, detectives, parole officers, landlords, bosses, dads, and husbands. I've also gotten to play a spiritual guide, a KGB agent, a Russian mobster, and a post-apocalyptic-mutant-killer. sometimes things get physical. I've been tied to a chair, smacked around, tossed in a trunk, and attacked by zombies.

 

Theater

I've been in the works of Shakespeare (9 and counting), Moliere, Chekhov, Strindberg, G. B. Shaw, Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, Caryl Churchill, Richard Foreman, Brian Friel, and many emerging playwrights. I've been a member of, or performed with: The Drilling Company, Pulse Ensemble Theatre, New Perspectives, Machine Full, The Simon Studio, Spotlight Theatre, Sundog Theatre, and Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre, among others.

​Comedy

I've been in 3 improv groups, been directed by the great Del Close, and written and performed sketch comedy. I'm currently co-producing a comedic short film, which I wrote and star in.

 

Training

I studied acting at SUNY Albany, and then with such excellent teachers as Mary McDonnell, Austin Pendleton and Lee Brock. ​

Beyond Acting, I am also a visual artist, writer, and teaching artist.​​​
